Marriage Line Palm Reading: Love, Timing & Commitment

The marriage line — also called the affection or relationship line — is a small horizontal mark (or marks) on the edge of the palm, between the base of the pinky and the heart line. Despite the name, it speaks of significant relationships and commitment, not literal weddings.

Where to find it

Look at the side of your palm below the little finger, above where the heart line ends. The short horizontal lines there are your marriage or affection lines. Read them on your dominant hand for how things are unfolding, and your non-dominant hand for what you came in with.

How many lines?

• One clear, deep line — a single defining, lasting relationship.
• Two or more lines — several meaningful relationships; the deepest line is usually the most significant.
• Many faint lines — a rich romantic life or many connections, not all of them deep.
• No clear line — relationships that matter less to your identity, or love that simply shows up elsewhere in the hand.

Reading length and shape

• Long, straight line — a steady, enduring bond.
• Short line — a meaningful but shorter chapter.
• Line curving upward — independence; happiness that does not depend on a partner.
• Line curving downward toward the heart line — a relationship that asks for extra care to keep strong.
• Forked end — a separation or a period apart; a fork at the start, a hesitant beginning.

Timing

Traditionally, a line close to the heart line points to earlier commitment, while one sitting higher (closer to the pinky) suggests love later in life. Treat timing as a gentle indication, never a fixed date.
